3-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN; 2022-2025

The rate with which LIFT-UP responded to the closure or our pantries while shifting to mobile distribution was a massive undertaking.  Our distribution infrastructure has had to expand and grow as fast as the 600% increase in need we have experienced since 2020.  This need is only increasing as we all experience the rapidly rising costs in housing, food and gas.

To that end; we have create a 3-year Strategic Plan that focuses on the development of our infrastructure to meet the demand of the people we serve.  This translates to the need for increased and more centralized warehousing that allows us to expend our reach beyond I70 & 82.   Understanding that transportation is the key to our functionality, we have an aggressive plan to expand our distribution capabilities through the purchase of trucks up to and including a Mobile Food Pantries.  Please feel free to view and download our 3-year plan.

LIFT-UP CELEBRATES ITS 40TH ANNIVERSARY

It's incredible to believe that LIFT-UP has been working to end hunger in our valley since 1982. Our valley has experienced a lot of growth many changes throughout the past 40 years; specifically massive increases in costs of food and housing. While our environment is insulating, the reality is that roughly 19% of our population cannot afford to pay bills and eat.

In late 2021 a new leadership team was formed with Ivan Jackson, Executive Director; Scott Shirley, Director of Operations and Renee Horton, the Director of Finance and Administration for several years.  This year is an exciting time for us all as we put into action our strategic plan to expand our capabilities and reach in feeding those who are without food.

We and the rest of the LIFT-UP family are so excited to be heading into our 40th year with many exciting plans and initiatives. 2022 is an exciting time in the strategic plan to increase our food distribution capabilities and expand our reach.

SUPPORT OUR 600% GROWTH IN PARTICIPANTS

Throughout 2020 and 2021 LIFT-UP recognized the need to re-invent how food is delivered on a far greater scale than past years.  These last two years have resulted in an over 600% increase in food insecurity for individuals, families, neighbors and friends.

The community response to the immediate COVID crisis has been an unprecedented outpouring of support. Our generous donors, partners, sponsors and communities have fueled our Hunger Relief Programs with what continues to be a win-win for those struggling with food scarcity and insecurity.

As we begin  2022 we see only an increase in need as the cost of groceries and housing continues to soar.  Within our valley in particular;  the crisis of food insecurity should be in the forefront of all our minds, not just when there is a pandemic.   Help us be proactive in getting ahead of what is sure to be a challenging year for food distribution.
