Donation Process & Policy

The LIFT-UP Rifle Thrift Store accepts small and large donations of new or gently used clothing, shoes, housewares, home décor and more. Proceeds from the sales of these items help LIFT-UP’s work throughout the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado. On behalf of the many thousands of individuals who benefit from the generosity of people like you, thank you, for your consideration and donations. Please review our donation process and policy below. Some items cannot be accepted (see our full list on this page).

How to donate goods to the LIFT-UP Rifle Thrift Store

  1. Donate in person. Please call the store to confirm donation hours as these may differ from store hours.

  2. Request a pick-up of large, good quality items (based on availability of staff and transportation)

How does donating to the LIFT-UP Rifle Thrift Store help individuals & families?
The money raised by the LIFT-UP Rifle Thrift Store helps families receive essential humanitarian assistance, including food, hygiene products, prescriptions and clothing. When the items you donate to are sold, the money helps families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better future.

Help reduce landfill impact by donating instead
Remodeling, cleaning, down-sizing or just getting organized? Whatever your project, don’t let the items you no longer need end up in your local landfill. Our thrift store divert tons of potential waste from landfills each year, accepting items including new and used furniture, appliances and clothing. In some cases, pickup service is provided for large items.
