About lift-up
LIFT-UP is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential humanitarian assistance in the communities we serve.
LIFT-UP was formed in 1982 when our region fell on hard times after the downturn in the oil and shale industries. Many people found themselves out of work, with no way to feed their families. Local churches, businesses and concerned citizens joined together to start LIFT-UP, which stands for Life Interfaith Team on Unemployment and Poverty. The needs continued, and with a reliable channel of assistance now in place, LIFT-UP continues to operate and meet those needs.
We are grateful to the many people, churches, businesses and community organizations that support LIFT-UP, and we also wish to thank the devoted team of volunteers that selflessly give their time and energy to assist the people who turn to us for help.
